Story: Fall Into the Sky
Author: ClocketPatch
Rating: All Ages
Word Count: 1979
Author's Summary: Darkness falls around Barbara, dawn rises, rain caresses the turf, and she thinks of the man who had seen all the wonders of the cosmos and then whispered in her ear that she, a drab middle-aged history teacher, was the most brilliant star in the sky.
Characters/Pairings: Barbara Wright/Ian Chesterton
Warnings: Character Death

Recced because: This is one of the most beautifully poetic stories I've read in this fandom. It also manages to be both incredibly sad and incredibly uplifting at the same time. Not an easy feat. It's a character study of Barbara, and what became of her and Ian after leaving the Doctor.

Characters/Pairings: Toshiko Sato, Owen Harper, Gwen Cooper, Rhys Williams, Captain Jack Harkness, Ianto Jones, Tenth Doctor, Original Companion

Recced because: Torchwood could really do with someone giving them New Year's Resolutions for them, and Lady Harkness does just that with some nice humour added.

Story: Summer Acquaintances
Author: ann_blue
Rating: PG
Word Count: 5213
Author's Summary: Luke makes a good friend from a mysterious blonde girl he meets by chance on a trip. Yet, is it just a summer acquaintance?
Characters/Pairings:  Jenny, Luke Smith, Sarah Jane Smith
Warnings: Spoilers for SJA Series 1 and Episode 6 of Series 4 of Doctor Who

Recced because: Jenny and Luke is one of those pairings that has to happen and is adorably cute. ann_blue writes both of them superbly in character, and writes Sarah-Jane fantastically. It flows beautifully and the romance between the two is sweet but not OTT. It's beautifully written and definitely worth a read.

Story: Truths That Matter
Author: jedi_penguin
Rating: All Ages
Word Count: 251
Author's Summary: Troilus ponders his strange bride.
Characters/Pairings: Troilus, Vicki
Warnings: Spoilers for the Myth Makers
Recced because: There are 15 stories featuring on Vicki on Teaspoon, this is one of two that focus on Vicki, despite being from the viewpoint of Troilus. For those who do not know Vicki becomes "Cressida" in the Myth Makers, based on the story of Troilus and Cressida which has been told by Chaucer and Shakespeare.  It's a fantastic piece looking at how Vicki has to adapt, the lies she has to tell, in her new life. It's a brilliant short piece and well worth a read.
