Word Count: 1515
Author's Summary: A brief interlude in the shared lives of Martha and Harry.

Recced because: This is such a sweet Martha/Harry story. They're both great in it, being themselves and being amusing and sweet because of it.

Story: "And When I'm Introduced to One"
Author: Maymargaret
Rating: All Ages
Word Count: 2814
Author's Summary: Harry meets Maria, Luke and Clyde
Characters/Pairings: Sarah Jane Smith, Harry Sullivan, Maria Jackson, Luke Smith, Clyde Langer
Warnings: None

Recced because: Everyone's so funny in this, the way they react to each other. And it uses a method of having people meet for the first time that works well in Doctor Who and doesn't seem over-used here.

Story: Companions at the Chalet School
Author: hhertzof
Rating: All Ages
Word Count: 36,184
Author's Summary: The Chalet School has three new pupils. Sarah Jane is ambivalent; Ace has been coerced by the Doctor, and Jo is just thrilled to be at boarding school at last. Meanwhile, Barbara Wright joins the school as a mistress. Mysterious weather and strange doings make this a term to remember.
Characters/Pairings: Ace McShane, Barbara Wright, Jack Harkness, Jo Grant, Sarah Jane Smith, Third Doctor, Tenth Doctor
Warnings: None

Recced because: This is a crossover with Chalet School. If you've read those books you'll get the cliches replicated in this, and see how close it is to one of the books. If you've never heard of the Chalet School this'll still make sense because hhertzof explains everything you need to know in the story. You'd think, looking at the list of characters in this story that it would be tricky to get them all to the same boarding school in Switzerland, but hhertzof comes up with good reasons, and any lingering doubts are satisfied by the end of the story. The Doctor Who plot in it meshes well with the Chalet School plot, both of which are typical for the fandom.

Basically, it's a great adventure with a few of the companions and the Doctor being his normal self (both of them).

Story: Alien Abduction for Beginners (or, How I Never Wanted to Spend My Summer Vacation by Meredith McKay)
Author: Azar
Rating: All Ages
Word Count: 236
Author's Summary: Get kidnapped, see the universe. Crossover with Stargate Atlantis.
Characters/Pairings: Tenth Doctor
Warnings: None

Recced because: This crossover probably won't have as much impact if you don't know who the aforementioned Meredith McKay is because it's short. However, if you do, you'll see why it doesn't need to be made any longer. I think more of McKay and the Doctor together might cause you to bang your head together, given the way they're like in this one. But this little snippet is funny - it's the typical reaction you'd expect McKay to have about travelling with the Doctor.
