Author's Summary: The 7th Doctor and Ace meet some old friends, and the legacy of an old enemy. This story takes into account some of the events in the BBC book The Bodysnatchers, as well as events in the original TV series
Characters/Pairings: Seventh Doctor, Ace, Henry Gordon Jago, Prf. George Litefoot
Warnings: None (There are refs back to The Talons of Weng-Chiang, plus The Pyramids of Mars and the EDA The Bodysnatchers. I suppose some later Big Finish spin-offs may now have rendered this AU.)
Recced because: Tuesday’s a good time for something longer to see us through the rest of the week and this is a lively historical romp with much fun, Christie rip-offs, Litefoot and Jago (did I mention Litefoot and Jago?) and ending the first chapter with: “The Sultan’s been murdered!” among other things. Plus, it has an interesting take on Litefoot and Jago, Seven and Ace are very much in character (and for those with taste, that’s a recommendation in itself), and it’s not without its share of angst against a colourful backdrop. I only wish there was more where this came from.
