Recc'ed Because: It's Donna Noble, dealing in her usual way with being somewhat of an intergalactic celebrity. The prose and dialogue seem effortlessly perfect, and the snapshots of her encounters are brief but vibrant and creative. In short: it's brilliant, funny, quirky, and then punches you in the gut in the end.

"Mr. Clemence, thanks for coming in," Donna says, reaching up to shake her client's hand. Her mouth goes round with shock when she finds her hand squeezed within in an inch of his life, Mr. Clemence pumping it up and down with an idiotic beam on his face.
"Donna Noble!" he cries. "I tell you, this is unbelievable. Field assignment to Earth, they said, it doesn't get much worse than that now does it, no offence you understand, but oh boy, did I luck out or what? Donna Noble herself, calling me on those fellytone things! Unbelievable. Wait 'til I get back to Clom, the boys at the office are going to be green with envy! Well, more green than usual, that is."
Donna extricates her hand from the man's grip. "Listen, mate, I don't care if your pals with Ziggy Stardust and the spiders from Mars, your overdraft's still way into the red."
